Legal foreign language training
Guernsey still requires that in order to become an Advocate here, it is necessary to hold an academic qualification in French and Norman law. This qualification is the Certificat d’Etudes Juridiques Francaises et Normandes and is studied for at the University of Caen-Basse-Normandie in France and of course, is taught in French.
Accent can offer private and/or group classes for all Advocates who are in need of developing (or starting!) their French language skills to prepare them for this course.
