Celebrating the European Day of Languages (EDL)
On the 26th September 2016, Europeans across 47 member states will be celebrating and promoting the linguistic diversity of languages.
Introduced in 2001 by the Council of Europe the European Languages Day (EDL) aims to encourage all of us, young and old, to learn a new language.
The Council believes that learning languages directly benefits intercultural relations and that working towards a plurilingualism continent is the future.
