Language Lessons for Children

From early years to GCSE's and AS & A-Levels

Give them a head start in life! Helping your child learn a second language before or during school sets them up with a life skill early on. Not only does it benefit their minds, but it opens doors to them that might be closed without these language skills.

What if there was one thing you could do that would help grow your child’s brain, improve their problem solving skills, help them do better on standardised tests, prepare them for better paying jobs of the future, deepen their empathy and cross-cultural understanding and give them tools to unlock a lifetime of greater connections and richer experiences. You would be all in, right?

Well, these are just a few of the benefits that research shows bilingual people enjoy. And since foreign languages are most easily acquired as a child, giving your child the chance to learn a foreign language is like giving her a gift for life.

It’s never too late to learn a second language

– and it’s never too early, either!

Children who learn a second language have significant advantages over children who only learn their native tongue.

Firstly, young children learn a language faster. They are enthusiastic to explore and learn new things. In addition, they pick up the pronunciation better and enjoy copying and learning through games. Secondly, nowadays, foreign languages are just as important as maths. Learning a foreign helps children have better education and job opportunities.

We offer classes in various languages for different ages and levels, for the younger ones we use a more intuitive approach to start with then move to a more structured way of teaching introducing books and other material.

For secondary school children we follow the school curriculum (GCSE’s, IGCSE’s, AS & A-Levels, IB) and support them in their preparation towards exams making sure we clear any doubts they have, practice and become more confident in their language skills.

If your children are bilingual or have lived recently in another country and you want to keep up their foreign language skills we offer lessons all in lingua to cater for their abilities.

We cater also for home schooled children who can come to our offices in the morning if they prefer or receive their lesson at home.

We can send our teachers for any student to their home if this is more convenient.  Online tuition is also available.

Lesson Times

We offer group language lessons for primary school children as part of our after school club.
Lessons start either at 3.30pm or 3.45pm for 45 minutes or 1 hour depending on the language and number of children.

Monday: Portuguese
Tuesday: Italian
Wednesday: German
Thursday: French
Friday: Spanish

However, if none of this time suit you, let us know what are your preferred days and times and as soon as we have three children we can open a new group.

Group classes for secondary school children can be arranged any day of the week or on Saturday if we have at least 3 students, online or at our offices. Private lessons can be arranged at a time that suits the student and can be also online, at our school or at your home.

Toddler group lessons are usually planned for the mornings or early afternoons and they are running if we have four or more children. Get in touch with us for more information.

Our Languages

For GCSE, AS & A-Levels and IB studies, we offer support in German, French, English and Spanish. Italian, Portuguese, Russian and Japanese are also available for all other needs.

Accent has been wonderful for my daughter. She started with the school at age 4 and has spent two years learning and loves it. Her French speaking, writing and understanding has developed amazingly. The teachers are welcoming and accommodate your needs and the needs of the children.
