May Half Term Fun and Games with Accent Language School

Science and Arts projects in May Holiday Club
The May Half Term Holiday Club went down a storm this year with lots of children attending various sessions throughout the week at our base in Commercial Arcade, St Peter Port.
We organised lots of fun and stimulating activities from painting dinosaurs to going on an expedition to the Candie Gardens Museum to discover the teeny tiny creatures that live in our homes.
Some of the children spent the afternoon with Outdoor Guernsey and we understand that Tuesday was spent Coasteering at Petit Bot which was apparently “awesome”, the children loved jumping into the sea.
The Dinosaur Arts Project
Here are a few pictures of some of the children making dinosaur prints as part of their science lesson.
Beyond the Naked Eye – Guernsey Museums
Guernsey Muesums at Candie Gardens puts on many wonderful and interesting programs throughout the summer period and one project that interested us was Beyond the Naked Eye.
From 29th April to 26th June you can see an amazing set of images revealing the microscopic creatures that live in our homes. As part of our Science Program the children took a trip to see these little creatures to find out more.
